The third edition of Festival Culture Giovani has come to a successful conclusion. Five intense days of projections, meetings, debates and workshops. A Festival in which thousands of young people participated as well as an audience that paid attention to our proposals that came out from closed spaces to invade a part of the historical centre with LiveCity. I can’t be anything other than happy about the outcome and the great organisational challenge that we gave to our many guests. Despite the rain, the quality of hospitality and the city’s attention and its means of information actually corresponded to the quality of the festival.
I would like to publicly thank all those who took part in the Festival and those who worked to make it happen.

Peppe D’Antonio
artistic director

Welcome! From 16 to 20 April 2008 Salerno is once again a place to meet, for short circuits and the exchange of creative expressions with the third edition of the Festival Culture Giovani.
The Festival, directed by Peppe D’Antonio and organised by the Salerno City Council, is an event not to be missed in the spring of big events financed by the Campania Region.

Started out as the Linea d’Ombra SalernoFilmFestival, a cinema festival that reaches its 13th edition this year, since 2006 Festival Culture Giovani has been a multidisciplinary container of creative experiences that is split across many levels.

The 2008 edition has “68_08: the rebels” as a sub-header and guiding theme, connected to the 40th anniversary of 1968.

The festival’s programme will develop within the universe of young cultures in four areas, each with a strong and recognisable brand.

  • Linea d’Ombra SalernoFilmFestival (cinema)
  • Music-K (music)
  • Scripta (creative writing)
  • LiveCity (art video and multimedia)
